English singer/songwriter Allison Goldfrapp began her interest in music while studying at Middlesex University by mixing sound, visuals, and performances in her installation pieces.
Her music experimentations continued beyond her studies and she finally released her debut album, Felt Mountain, in fall 2000. The album won her universal acclaim and spawned several singles, including the "Utopia Genetically Enriched" EP. Goldfrapp's latest album is Seventh Tree (2008) and see her move in a calmer, more acoustic-based, but just as sonically lush direction.
