Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

July 23rd 2008 02:48
Intrepid Sea Air and Space Museum

The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum is one of the most unique attractions in New York City and is based on the 1943 USS Intrepid aircraft carrier which was commissioned for service in World War II and went on to serve as a primary recovery vessel for NASA and then in Vietnam.

Today, the Intrepid Museum boasts an eclectic mix of exhibits ranging from thrilling historical re-creations to special exhibits. There is also an A-6 Cockpit Simulator, a Virtual Flight Zone, and even a tour of the inside of the world’s fastest commercial airplane, Concorde.
