The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York is one of the city's most popular tourist attractions and regularly attracts over 5 million visitors every year.
Featuring 5000 years of art, the museum offers a vast collection of works plus many special exhibits throughout the year. The sheer size of the museum can be overwhelming so Gallery Talks and Guided Tours are provided free of charge with museum admission. While the tours are geared towards an adult audience, children can also join in the fun and educational experience with special features such as the carpet hunt.
