Staten Island Ferry
May 22nd 2008 22:45
The Staten Island Ferry is a transport hub of New York City and is charged with transporting 20 million people between St. George on Staten Island and Whitehall Street in lower Manhattan every year.
It is also a major tourist attraction because the deck of the ferries provides a perfect view of The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. You'll see the skyscrapers and bridges of Lower Manhattan receding as you pull away and coming into focus again as you return.
And best of all, this is a free ride across the New York Harbor!

New York, NY 10006 (Map)
